Brian Zeiger is a Managing Director and shareholder on the Diversifying Strategies team at Pathstone, based in the San Francisco Office.
Prior to joining Pathstone, Brian was a Managing Director in the Diversifying Strategies Group at Hall Capital Partners LLC, an Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO) which advised on $45 billion of client assets. He also served on the firm’s Investment Review Committee. Before his role at Hall Capital Partners, Brian was a Director of Portfolio Management at CarVal Investors, a global alternative investment fund manager and a subsidiary of Cargill. While at CarVal, Brian focused on value-add, opportunistic, and debt investments in North American real estate. Brian also held roles at Fremont Realty Group and Bank of America Securities. He started his career as an investment banking analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co.
Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences (MMSS) from Northwestern University and earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is also a member of the CFA Institute and a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation. Brian previously served on the Policy Advisory Board for the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at UC Berkeley.
Originally from Indiana, Brian lives in San Francisco with his wife, son, and daughter. He enjoys traveling with his family, exploring new hikes in the Bay Area, reading historical fiction, dabbling with guitar (as a perpetual amateur!), and cheering on his kids at numerous swim meets and soccer matches.
