Tamar Liptz is a Director and a shareholder at Pathstone. Tamar acts as a strategic investment advisor to multigenerational families and charitable endowments.

Prior to joining Pathstone, Tamar was a Vice President and member of the firm’s Portfolio Management practice at Hall Capital Partners LLC, an Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO) which advised on $45 billion of client assets. Before joining Hall Capital in 2022 Tamar was a Partner and Equities Analyst for the Oppenheimer Family Office in South Africa, responsible for equity investing and research. Tamar started her career as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in Johannesburg.

Tamar earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and prior to that graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting Science. She is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Tamar enjoys time with her husband and child and anything outdoors!

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) is a professional designation given by the CFA Institute that measures and certifies the competence and integrity of financial analysts. Candidates are required to pass three levels of exams covering areas such as accounting, economics, ethics, money management, and security analysis.
