The goal of the list is to shine a spotlight on some of the nation’s best financial advisors, recognizing individuals based on the assets the oversee and quality of their practices.
Third-party rankings and recognition from ratings services are no guarantee of future investment success. Working with a highly rated adviser does not ensure that a client or prospective client will experience a higher level of performance or results. Ratings should not be considered an endorsement for the adviser by any client, nor are they representative of any one client’s evaluation. Pathstone paid no application fee to participate, but may purchase plaques, reprints, or logos to publicize rankings and participates in Barron’s digital marketing program for ranked firms and individuals.
Methodology:
Advisors who wish to be ranked must first pass a prequalification process aimed at ensuring that those in the mix are experienced and sophisticated advisors. Those who meet the criteria then fill out a survey with more than 100 questions about their practices. As with all Barron’s rankings, they do not disclose the proprietary formula.
