Allison Kaplan is responsible for leading the business management activities within the Research Team, which includes overseeing policies and procedures, asset allocation model and portfolio performance tracking, benchmark management, and compliance management.

Previously, Allison held a similar role within the Investment Strategy Group (ISG) at Convergent Wealth Advisors and contributed to the execution of company initiatives that had a research or investment focus.

Prior to her role within ISG, Allison developed the Portfolio Analysis Group, a team which delivered portfolio recommendations, analytics, and investment solutions to the Advisor teams directly servicing both Convergent’s existing and prospective clients. She has also spent time with Convergent in the Advisor Group, serving as a direct point of contact for clients. These experiences have been applied to her work with the research group.

Allison earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance and International Business, from American University in Washington, DC. She passed the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 65 exam and is a member of the Investment Management Consultants AssociationSM (IMCA®). Allison also holds the Investment Management Consultants Association’s Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation, graduating from the program administered by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Allison enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and dog.  During the warmer months, she can be found stand-up paddle boarding in the Potomac or along the shores of North Carolina.
