Brett is a shareholder of Pathstone and Managing Director in the Philadelphia metro area office. He leads a team in advising Pathstone’s clients in managing their investment portfolios as well as financial planning, trust and estate tax planning, tax and accounting matters, and legacy education. Brett is also involved in the firm’s business development efforts.
Prior to joining Pathstone, Brett spent 27 years at Veritable, LP, where he was a partner and a longstanding member of Veritable’s Investment Committee. Brett’s past experience includes serving as an auditor at Deloitte and Touche and a Senior Tax Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers and Lybrand).
Brett graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and earned a JD at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He successfully completed his CPA in a single sitting and is a CFA® charterholder.
Brett formerly Chaired the Investment Committee for the Curtis Institute of Music, where he was also on the Board, Executive Committee, Finance, and Pension Committees. He currently serves on the Board of the Bok Foundation, the Curtis Investment Committee and the Curtis Private Equity Sub-Committee, as well as the Barnes Foundation Investment Committee. Previously he served on the Boards of KleinLife and the Lower Merion Conservancy. Brett is a devoted father.
