John is a shareholder and managing director of Risk and Operations in Pathstone’s Bellevue office. He is responsible for leading the teams that manage the operations of the firm’s multi-billion-dollar affiliated funds platform including fund accounting, operational due diligence and investor services.
Prior to Pathstone, John was the managing director of Operational Due Diligence at Cornerstone Advisors where he oversaw the operational due diligence efforts across the firm’s investment program. John began his career as an investment banking analyst with Cary Street Partners.
John earned a Bachelor of Science in commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation from the CFA Institute, the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®) designation from the CAIA Association and is a member of the CFA Society Seattle.
John is a Seattle area native. He and his young family love spending time at local parks and going on walks around the neighborhood.
A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) is a professional designation given by the CFA Institute that measures and certifies the competence and integrity of financial analysts. Candidates are required to pass three levels of exams covering areas such as accounting, economics, ethics, money management, and security analysis.
The CAIA® designation is a globally recognized credential granted to individuals who have successfully completed the CAIA program and met the Association’s requirements. Use of the CAIA designation is authorized only for individuals who are in good standing with the CAIA Association.
