Melissa is Chief People Officer (CPO) at Pathstone and a member of the executive leadership team. As CPO, she guides the overarching people strategy for the firm and partners with leaders as an advisor on human capital. She leads the People Office to align talent initiatives with business objectives.
Melissa supports an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and innovation and is accountable for the full suite of human capital components including people strategy, change management, recruitment, total rewards, compliance, people M&A and development, and ensuring team members feel valued and empowered.
Prior to Pathstone, Melissa has worked for more than 20 years in human resources on an international level at International Paper, General Electric, Heinz/Kraft Heinz, and Dover Corporation. She has a global experience in many aspects of human resources and has subject matter experience in organizational development, talent management and organizational effectiveness. She has also been highly involved in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and integration and overall change management. She most recently served as the Chief People Officer of Calderys, a global manufacturer with approximately 5,000 employees in 36 countries.
Melissa earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a business emphasis from The Penn State University and her Master’s degree in Labor and Human Resources from The Ohio State University. She is a certified kaizen lean master and six sigma greenbelt* in addition to multiple human capital certifications including CAP change management*, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and others.
*Green Belts are trained in advanced data analysis and process improvement tools, and use them to apply problem-solving frameworks like DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control).
*Change Acceleration Process (CAP): This framework is a change management tool that helps organizations plan actions to determine the success of a change initiative. The CAP framework uses seven steps to guide change management.
