Pause to rethink how you spend this precious commodity

Time has a way of revealing patterns:  what we’ve built, what we’ve cherished, and what we’ve overlooked. As another year closes, it’s an opportunity to reflect on how we spend our time — and how we want to fill the years ahead.

Perspective often comes when we see time differently

If you draw a circle and split it into slices – e.g., work, social commitments, personal business, mental and physical health, family – what would that pie look like? What would you prefer it to look like? How do you see it evolving over time?

Each year may look different, but together they create a mosaic of how time is spent. While most of us can identify gaps between the ideal and the reality of our complex lives, taking action to adjust the size of each “slice of pie” is more challenging.

Making intentional choices

Pathstone’s personal CFO services team works with our clients to bring structure to complexity—coordinating bill pay, cash flow, accounting, and reporting across homes, entities, and trusts. Our goal is to help clients gain back time by bringing professional rigor to daily financial operations and lifestyle management.

Take the time this holiday season to consider how you spend your time, the value of your time, and ways to free more time for fulfilling pursuits.
